Sam Nguyen /’guen’/, is a Melbourne based Interior Designer and Visual Artist. Sam seeks to capture individuality, spirit and passion visually and through the art of living. Underscoring her practice is an extraordinary interest in how humans live, work and play.
Sam designs from a universal perspective, a unique approach to problem solving credited to her vibrant global design experience. It is carried out in her creative practice for thoughtful, responsible, personalized design with highly refined aesthetic.
Before launching her independent practice, Sam spent a decade leading and collaborating on prestigious hotel projects across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe — experience that continues to shape her approach to materiality, craft and the guest experience.
When not designing, Sam is a lecturer at RMIT University and freelance interior illustrator.
Also a bad but enthusiastic tennis player.
